Job Type : Flexible

Description

Summary

River Branch Community School is seeking passionate, creative, nature loving enthusiasts to join our small but vibrant community of educators! At RBCS we value the vital role Early Childhood Educators play in creating a healthy, thriving, culturally rich society. We spend our days outside investigating all that Vermont’s beautiful land has to offer; flowering meadows, fruiting trees, thick gooey mud, rhythmic rain, deep snowy drifts, the subtle signs of deer and rabbits roaming the fields. This is the base through which we teach children to process and understand our world. If this feels like your vibe and you want to work in an environment that supports your personal passions alongside your professional growth then we could be your place. At RBCS we uplift families and our educators alike by supporting a healthy work/life balance and respecting autonomy while valuing a collaborative approach to education.

Duties

RBCS strives to provide a safe and nurturing educational environment where children are free to take risks, to wonder and to form meaningful relationships with peers, educators and the natural environment. Our interactions with children are based on the belief that all young children are competent, intelligent and inquisitive beings. Through play and hands-on investigations, we guide each child’s social, emotional, physical and cognitive development.

Requirements

The ideal candidates will have a love of nature, a growth mindset, professional experience working with children 6 weeks to 5 years old and at least 3 college credits in ECE or a related field. We are excited to support those who are new to the field in finding their place, expanding their own education and forming career goals.

Benefits

Our educators are compensated by a highly competitive yearly salary that is commensurate with education and experience. This is a full time position scheduled Monday - Friday between the hours of 7:30am-4:30pm. Our educators receive a daily 45 minute lunch break as well as weekly planning time and team meetings within operating hours.

Benefits include 15 days of CTO along with a set week of summer vacation, set week of winter vacation, 6 additional paid holidays, free childcare (after CCFAP), 5 days of team professional development, annual bonus, regular supply of snacks, treats, bagels and the occasional pizza or staff appreciation lunches. We are a close and supportive community of educators who value each other and the work we do and we look forward to meeting you!
