PT Afternoon Infant Assistant Teacher/Floater

Summary

We are looking for a reliable, kind, energetic person who LOVES babies - and who wants to work as part of an amazing childcare center team! The position is part time, Monday - Friday from 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm. This person will work in our young infant room (ages 6 weeks - 12 months) to care for the children and close the room after the lead teachers leave, then heading to other rooms to assist in closing as needed. **Pay is dependent on experience and education.

The Neighborhood Learning Center serves children from infant through 5th grade and we are an active, friendly, FUN place to work! In 2024, we were the WINNER of Best of Loudoun for Best Child Care Center! Our staff are like family, with caring administrative staff and a supportive environment with incredible families.

We are located in beautiful small-town Purcellville, Virginia, just a short 10-minute drive west of Leesburg.

Duties

• Care for the infants after the lead teachers leave for the day
• Pack each baby's items to go home for the day
• Hand each child and their belongings to the parents
• Close the room for the day
• Assist in closing other rooms after all of the infants have been picked up

Requirements

• Experience with infants
• Comfortable speaking with parents as they pick up their children
• Attention to detail in making sure every child goes home with their correct belongings (bottles, soiled clothing, daily sheet, etc)
• Able to bend, twist, sit on the floor, and lift up to 30 pounds
