Full-Time Childcare Teacher/Floater

Summary

We are looking to hire an attentive childcare teacher to perform all duties necessary to ensure that children’s basic needs are taken care of.

The childcare teacher’s responsibilities include creating lesson plans, introducing children to new, age-appropriate crafts, and sanitizing all toys and play areas. You should also be able to identify and address behavioral problems.

You should be able to maintain progress reports of all children under your care. Overall responsible for cultivating a safe and loving environment that is conducive to growth and learning.

Duties

• Providing a safe and nurturing environment
• Introducing children to new, age-appropriate educational activities
• Keeping Classroom clean including sanitizing all toys and play areas
• Developing lesson plans and following schedules
• Keeping required training up to date
• Identifying and addressing behavioral problems
• Designing creative activities to entertain children and aid in their intellectual development
• Encouraging positive interactions among children and staff at the daycare center
• Designing and implementing learning activities that stimulate a child’s physical, emotional, intellectual, and social growth
• Engage in Circle Time, Music, Arts, Crafts

 

Requirements

• Minimum of 1-2 years of professional childcare experience.
• CDA required/ or in process of completing or higher Credentials
• Proven experience working as a childcare teacher.
• Certification in first aid and CPR is required.
• Clear criminal background check.
• In-depth understanding of childhood development.
• Strong conflict resolution skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Attentive and patient.
• Must be able to lift 35 pounds.
