Early Childhood - Teacher for PreK classroom -Afternoon position

Summary

Seeking a dependable teacher who is experienced with PreK children, has a positive personality, and enjoys children..

Hours: 2p - 6:15p.

Note: We do have openings for staff children at this time.

Duties

Teaching, caring for, and nurturing children, ages 4-5 yrs.

Afternoon responsibilities include serving and monitoring snacks, outside play, engaging with children in learning activities, communicating with parents.

Requirements

Much patience and a sense of ease with children who are 4-5 yrs. of age.

• Proof of High School completion
• Minimum age: 18 yrs.
• At least 6 months of experience working with these ages in a group setting.
• Dependability and a strong work ethic.
• Must clear full background check and must pass health screening.
• Strong oral and written communication skills, basic computer skills.
• High energy and the ability to work well with others (staff, children, and parents) and to foster a team environment.
• A strong understanding of child development.
• Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to obtain through provided training.
• Requirements include the ability to use hands and fingers, handle objects, tools or controls, talk to and hear voices at many levels. May also be required to kneel, bend, squat or crawl.
• A specific vision ability will be required including the ability to see up close and up to a certain distance, to see colors, have peripheral vision and depth perception.
• Excellent organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Provide verifiable references.
• Non-smoker
