Summary
Instruct preschool-aged children in activities designed to promote social, physical, and intellectual growth needed for a primary school in preschool, daycare centers, or other child development facilities. May be required to hold State certification. The key is constant interaction, interaction, and interaction.
Duties
- Teach basic skills, such as color, shape, number and letter recognition, personal hygiene, and social-emotional skills
- Read books to entire classes or small groups.
- Prepare materials and classrooms for class activities.
- Teach proper eating habits and personal hygiene.
- Arrange indoor and outdoor spaces to facilitate creative play, motor-skill activities, and safety.
- Attend staff meetings and serve on committees as required.
- Operate within Quality Rated guidelines
Requirements
- Pass criminal records test.
- Have active CDA or higher.
- Complete New Hire Training within the specified time frame
