Our childcare center is currently hiring enthusiastic and caring individuals to join our team! We are hiring for a UPK teaching assistant. Hours are 8:00am- 4pm, Monday-Friday. Always guaranteed to have weekends off! As a childcare staff member, you will have the opportunity to work with preschool aged children, helping them learn and grow in a safe and nurturing environment. We are looking for candidates who are patient, kind, and have a genuine love for working with children. We offer on-the-job training and ongoing professional development opportunities to ensure that our staff members are equipped with the tools and knowledge they need to provide the best care for our children.
Assistant Teachers take on a supportive role in the classroom in order to carry out the planned activities for the day. Responsibilities will include supervising playtime, assisting with meal and snack times, assisting with age-appropriate activities, and maintaining a clean and organized childcare space.
Our Universal Pre-K (UPK) class closely follows The Creative Curriculum. The assistant for this class will work under a NYS certified teacher and will help them to carry out the weekly lesson plans. This could be ideal for candidates entering the field or beginning their journey into the early childhood education profession.
Must be 18 years or older.
Must be able to pass a NYS background check.
Must have Highschool diploma or GED.
Experience working with children is preferred, but not required.
