Lead Preschool Teacher

Summary

To plan, organize, and present instruction and instructional environments that help students learn subject matter and skills that will contribute to their educational and social development in multiple grade levels (3-5 years old).

Duties

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:

• Be able to lead teaching exercises for 3 -5 Year old students using ABEKA.
• Be familiar with BFTS and Quality Rated expectations.
• Provides an environment in which each child has a positive, nurturing relationship with caring adults by encouraging a climate that is inviting, respectful, supportive, inclusive, and flexible.
• Works collaboratively with the families and significant adults in the lives of their students by improving communication and collaboration between the school and the home and community.
• Create a progressive environment for students by using a variety of methods to assess what each student has learned by using multiple indicators to evaluate student progress.
• Helps students develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills by encouraging students to ask questions, think creatively, and draw conclusions.
• Demonstrate preparation and skill in working with students from diverse cultural, economic and ability backgrounds.
• Participate in appropriate professional activities and trainings.
• Participate in classroom devotion and meditation, encouraging children to know, to love and to serve God

Requirements

Knowledge Skills and Ability Required: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. • CDA (Child Development Associate)
• Experience in Multi-age Teaching preferred
• Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
• Must have the ability and proven ability to report to work on a regular and punctual basis.
• Maintain professional educational and training requirements of school and state of Georgia.
• Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others.

Physical Requirements: Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, operate a computer, hand-held learning devices and other office equipment, reach with hands and arms, and must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
