Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and eager Substitute Early Childhood Teacher to join our team on an on-call basis. The ideal candidate will be passionate about early childhood education and committed to fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for children to learn and grow. This position requires flexibility and the ability to adapt to different classrooms and age groups, ranging from infancy to preschool. As a Substitute Teacher, you will implement lesson plans, manage classroom activities, and ensure the safety and well-being of all children under your care.

Duties

  • Implement existing lesson plans in a way that ensures the integrity of academic time and motivates students to learn and participate.
  • Adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of individual children.
  • Create a positive and conducive learning environment.
  • Perform classroom management duties, ensuring children are supervised at all times.
  • Communicate effectively with staff and parents about daily activities and behavioral observations.
  • Follow and uphold all safety and health regulations.

Requirements

  • Up-to-Date Department of Children and Families (DCF) clearance.
  • Clean criminal background check.
  • Current CT OEC required Adult Medical Statement signed by a healthcare provider.
  • Must provide copies of all certifications, background checks, and medical statement upon application.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work flexibly across different age groups and settings.
  • Care 4 Kids Federal Health and Safety Orientation

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in early childhood education preferred.
  • First Aid and CPR certification preferred.
