Summary

The Site/Enrollment Coordinator plays a crucial role in the care and upkeep of the school building and responsibilities include ensuring the safety of all children, staff and visitors. 

Duties

Responsibilities (Enrollment Coordinator)


 ·  Conduct parent tours, handle enrollment inquiries and projections for future program needs

·   Write up and disseminate contracts for school year

·   Act as liaison with parents to answer questions, troubleshoot

·   Responsible for marketing the program, conceptualize marketing materials and use social media to highlight school services

·   Constantly research new and innovative ways to market the program


Staffing (Site Coordinator)

 

·      Supporting staff in covering classroom ratios

·      Creating staffing schedules, lunch schedules, monthly calendar for parents and staff

·      Participating in the “early closing” or “emergency closing” communications.

·      Oversee and track staff’s use of PTO

·      Approve staff hours in payroll system

 

Building Security, Maintenance and Compliance:

 

·      Ensuring the building is secure throughout the day and at the end of each working day

·      Coordinating with and monitoring contractor activities

·      Keeping the premises organized, clean and free of clutter and debris

·      Maintain the school environment to a high standard

·      Participate in emergency drills

·      Knowledge of all State and Local licensure and other regulatory agency requirements, i.e maintain program compliance, go into classrooms to cover ratio, as required

·      Screen visitors, request ID, as appropriate

·      Perform all opening and closing routines

·      Order supplies, organize and control inventory

·      Ensure disabled access, where necessary

·      Undertake development projects as directed by Executive Director

 

Requirements

Required Qualities:

            

 Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills. Specifically, must have strong listening skills. 

Must have team player mentality to work well among a diverse population. 

·                Strong leadership and persuasion skills. 

·                Ability to function effectively in high stress situations, ability to stay focused while pivoting from one task to another.

·                Ability to maintain strict confidentiality. 

·                Strong organization, coordination skills and attention to detail is essential in this position.

·                Ability to prioritize, work independently, follow up, and possess strong level of self-motivation and initiative.

·                Team-oriented; willingness to pitch in, be flexible, and help out beyond basic job requirements. 

·                Ability to use “lessons learned” examples while supervising staff, speak in calm, non-emotional manner to make needed corrections and exhibit poise under pressure.

·                Ability to forge strong relationships with both parents and staff members.

·                Strong level of empathy, excellent emotional IQ and self-awareness.


Qualifications/Credentials:


·                Quantifiable experience and success in a similar role. 

·                Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or a related field. (Marketing would be a plus!)

·                Understand general areas of physical, social, cognitive, and emotional development of children. 

·                Meet Federal and State requirements (i.e. TB Test, physical, OSHA, DCF mandated reporter training, fingerprints, background check, etc.). 

·                Be knowledgeable of and follow all State, Federal and local licensing regulations and guidelines.

·                Must be available to work a 35-hour work week alternating opening and closing shifts
