Summary

Children’s International School at FSI, is seeking energetic, creative educators.

The ideal candidate enjoys working with children as they inquire about the world and explore their curiosities from their perceptive. The ideal candidate also has a strong understanding of child development, an excitement for learning, and is patient, calm, and flexible.

Children’s International School provides hands-on learning that addresses the whole child, with an emphasis on the Reggio Emilia philosophy and Creative Curriculum.

Duties

• To provide a warm, nurturing, and safe learning environment that encourages children to explore and grow.
• To implement an intercultural curriculum that meets the social, physical, and emotional needs of a child.
• To direct the children and encourage them in their daily activities.
• To maintain good communication with parents, teacher assistants, and Director.
• To promote positive behavior and good social skills with the children by applying consistent techniques in accordance with licensing standards
• To keep staff informed of program goals and developments.
• To develop a cooperative and supportive attitude within the school.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of professional child care experience preferred.
• Strong oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills.
• High energy and the ability to work well with others (staff, children, and parents) and to foster a team environment
• A strong understanding of child development.
• Ability to record significant individual and group behavior
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Must pass a Federal Government background check and a health screening
• Must be a US citizen

Nice To Haves

• Relevant education background: CDA, AA, BS/BA in ECE or a child-related field
