Montpelier Children’s House is a Five STAR, Universal Pre-K partner and birth to five early childhood program that is celebrating it’s 40th year of operation in 2024. We are in the process of an organizational restructure that includes becoming a 501(c)(3) nonprofit program and committing to a program model that supports the implementation of an inquiry-driven, reflective practice model of curriculum development.
We are a small and motivated group of professionals who share a commitment to re-imagining Early Childhood Education in a model that supports teachers as researchers and offers a daily structure that provides ample opportunity for reflective practice, documentation and practicing of the cycle of inquiry. This is paired with on-going mentoring and coaching by an experienced pedagogical lead.
As we grow our program, we are seeking eager co-creators of MCH as a model of Reggio-Inspired practice in Central Vermont. Partners in this endeavor should be eager and enthusiastic with a firm commitment to professionalism and collaborative work.
Ideal applicants should have a strong interest and/or understanding of the Reggio Emilia approach and ideally have experience working in an inquiry-driven program.
Lead Teacher Status through Northern Lights AND demonstrated experience as an early education professional.
Montpelier Children's House offers a very generous paid-time off policy and is committed to supporting each teachers' professional growth in our program. We are firmly committed to growing our compensation and benefits model.
