First Baptist Child Development Center is searching for an energetic individual to work as a Floater/Afterschool Teacher. We are looking for someone to work as a Floater throughout the mornings and early afternoons providing assistance to classrooms with children age 8 weeks - 5 years. When the elementary school-aged children arrive, we need someone to assist the Afterschool Teachers with the care and supervision of the children until they are picked up. The hours for this position are 8:30 - 5:30, Monday - Friday.
In a Floater, we look for committed, caring, individual who is excited about making a difference in the lives of our students and their families. Some of the exciting things you will do as a Floater/Afterschool Teacher include, but are not limited to:
Minimum of 6 months of professional child care experience.
Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
GED or High School Diploma
High energy.
Strong oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills.
Ability to work well with others (staff, children, and parents) and to foster a team environment.
A strong understanding of early childhood development.
Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Must clear full background check and must pass health screening.
Must be willing to work 40 hours a week.
Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification.
A.A. in Early Childhood Education
