Candidates are required to work together with their co-teachers on completing daily activities for the classroom, which may include implementing curriculum, changing diapers, feeding, cleaning, and sanitizing. Qualifications:
- Previous teaching or assistant teaching position in a licensed early childhood program is a must.
- Must meet basic requirements of local and state child care regulatory agency
- Knowledge of the social, emotional, and creative needs of young children is essential.
- Must be able to lift 35 pounds in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations.

Job Type:
Full-time/ Monday through Friday
What You'll Do
- Maintain a positive and engaging learning environment by providing supervision and daily class functions for a group of children.
- Ensure adherence to all rules and regulations at Chroma Early Learning Academy and the local, state, or national regulatory agencies pertaining to the health, safety, and care of children.
- Implement the approved lesson plans and daily classroom schedule in accordance with the Chroma Early Learning Academy curriculum and programming.
- Keep the classroom attractive, well-kept, and encouraging of children's creativity, exploration, and decision-making.
- Provide verbal recognition and acceptance to children, while setting clear and consistent expectations for their behavior.
- Take responsibility for maintenance and necessary housekeeping duties of the classroom, common areas, and playgrounds.
- Attend all required staff meetings, workshops, and school functions.
- Adhere to professional personal appearance, as outlined in the Chroma Early Learning Academy Employee Handbook.
- Assist in other capacities as needed.
- Be knowledgeable about the social, emotional, and creative needs of young children.
- Be able to lift up to 35 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations.
Requirements
License/Certification:
- Previous experience working in a childcare facility is a plus.
- TCC
- Must meet basic requirements of local and state child care regulatory agency
- Child Development Associate Certification (Preferred)
- Associates Degree in Early Childhood Care and Education (Preferred)
Nice To Have
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Previous teaching experience (Preferred)
